I need to know what suspension and brakes an '85 ca20 equipped 200sx hatch uses. Also, will an s13 or z31 subframe fit without much modification?

The Gazelle uses its own type of brakes up front but uses the S13 discs and calipers rear. Maybe our front brakes are similar to the R31-Z31 cars but I dont know.

If your thinking of upgrading I wouldnt bother unless your changing your engine. The brakes are good stock and all they usually need are some new fluids and decent pads.

I hope i sorta answered your question :|

Is it a live axle or IRS rear end (it's easy to tell the IRS has discs and the live axle has drums, alternatively stick your head under the back and look)
The brakes are pretty good stock anyways, just good fluid and pads and you'll be sweet.
As for IRS subframes, the Z31 is near identical anyways, the S13 isn't easy to fit at all.

How much does an IRS equipped hatchback weigh?

Do a search, the spec info (especially car weights) is there. Or it should be on the old board if Dan still allows us access to it. Dan?
