Take a look at the NHRA racer's rulebook and make sure to use their specs when designing your cage. It will make sure it's at least structurally sound as a starting point. Then you can add whatever extra bracing you choose running from the cage back to the rear or front of the vehicle, any cross bracing you want to do, etc.

If you're having trouble thinking of a design, take a look at what a professional rally team uses for a rollcage.

Why you want to build a rollcage for your Silvia? I have the FIA's homologation for S12 rollcage. I can find it and give you the specs.
The specific manufacturer for rollcage is Nissan Australia.
I have planed to install a rollcage in my Silvia as I am preparing it for rally.

yeah i have a cage.

i would recommend a 6-point cage. mine has a 4 point, but i plan on adding to this in the future. not stiff enough!!

triple G did my cage. you'll have to PM for their number, i dont have it on me ATM.

Do you have a lift back, or a notch back??

You might want to pick up a copy of the SCCA Pro-Rally regulations. They outline the requirements for an SCCA (and FIA and CARS) approved rollcage.

Its a liftback, so it should be fairly easy once i get some ideas, its already fully stripped, so yeah, fun fun, ta for all ur help so far

mine's a lift back too. i recommend a 6 point cage coz i find that s12s are a little soft in the middle. jacked the car up from the rear and cracked the floor where the LHS chassis rail finishes (under the passenger seat). therefore i would aslo recommend that area be reinforced. seam-welded and plated perhaps.
