im buying a 200sx ca18et, the car has been sitting outside for a little bit, no more than a few months, but it has the exhaust manifold unhooked. i was wondering if this would cause rust or any other problems. the radiator cap was missing and it looked rusty inside, tho ill just replace that. thanks

same one from the last thread you posted? How much have you gotten them down too? It's not driveable if the exhaust mani is unhooked obviously . the rad might get screwed up but i wonder why all this stuff is this wayto begin with.

my car sat up for 10 years before i got it took about 30 sedcconds to crank but fired right up. smoked for about 5 minutes then has ran like a top since

Might want to just check and make sure it'll turn over by hand before you crank it though. That's what I do if it's been sitting for a while. If it won't turn over by hand, squirt oil or WD40 down the cylinders and let it set, and keep doing that until it'll turn by hand, then crank away!
