exist there a turbo kit for CA18de ??
CA18de turbo kit

pointless and a waste of money.
There are no kits but you could just use most of the parts found on the CA18DET. Manifold, turbo, intercooler.... These can be bought for almost nothing.
No way would it last long unless it was tuned on a dyno and even then you would have to run less than 10psi to keep the pistons alive :hit:
Just get a CA18DET and start with a proper engine designed for a turbo.
Turboing an NA motor can sometimes be a good idea but only if you know alot about the motor and tuning in the first place or can pay for someone who can, it would probably be cheaper and easier to convert to the turbo motor than turbo the NA version sometimes to.
Having said that there is a S13 locally with a S14 NA SR20 with RB20 turbo, decent cooler, remap etc and it makes a good 170kw@rw at only low boost (due to the greater compression of the NA motor). It's been done, it can work but it was alot of work and was built from stuff laying about. Probably cheaper to go the factory turbo motor especially when dyno time etc for tuning comes into play.
If you use the CADET ECU, and pistons as well you will essencially have the DET...
minus the oil squirts.
btw, i just dont see the point.... :(

DET's also have the ladder reinforced block to take turbo punishment. Get a ca18det, by the time you spend money converting an EXA ca18de or something you could have bought a ca18det and also some performance gear to boot, (also you'd never get the performance or durability of the det)
why turbocharge a B16 or B18 honda? :dontknow: Why not just get a DET manifold, strap a T2 to it and then enjoy an extra kick in the butt. I was kinda thinking of doing that to my pulsar. 5psi from a T2 should get the CA18DET to a good 150-160 hp.
cheap and probably reliable too. not a power house for sure but nice to drive around with as long you keep premium in it.
Yeah, and I'm not sure where silvias12 is from, but CA18DET's aren't exactly a dime a dozen here. You could probably yank out a CA18DE swap pistons and put a turbo on it for cheaper than you could buy a CA18DET motor. Find a DET ecu, and you're set.
Kinda like here, where we've got SR20DE's in the B13's and such, and guys are putting turbo kits on those with some frequency...
Yeah turboing the SR20DE i've seen (i think there are less differences, the SR20DE already has a big ladder brace etc, i think it's a more boost friendly NA motor) but the CA18DET in oz/nz at least is quite cheap and easy to come accros even at importer prices, even if the DET is expensive prepping a DE to take boost (even if you do all the work yourself) isn't a cheap and easy task. On a side note i've seen 2 CA18DETs give up recently (same car actuall) even with a turbo motor and proper support systems (oil cooler, ARC intercooler, PowerFC etc) the motor has a good chance of giving up if pushed hard. The carruns around 200kw@rw which shouldn't have been beyond it but it went boom twice at separate events, maybe i'm just lucky to see it go twice since it got flogged alot in between the two times i saw it.
It was worth seeing tho, in the shot there you can see Kazuya Bai, Izumida Yuki and Tsuyoshi Tezuka, Tezuka nuked the CA while i was watching...nice looking car tho.
