hey do you guys know if it would cost a lot of money to get my car re-wired? mainly the wiring in the engine bay because as most of you know....right before i took delivery on this car, it had a small engine fire. the only thing holding me back from continuing on this car is replacing the wiring harnesses in the engine area. not all of them were fried and melted just a few here and there.

thanks for the help and info in advance.

it might be not sure but it might also be cheaper just to get a new harness

Yeah with all the S12's being parted out, just grab a new harness. I got mine for $50...

yeah i e-mailed the guy from OEM-Surplus and he told me that the harness would cost about $100. the only problem was that the harness was for an '84 and he said that not all of the harnesses would hook up and would need slight modification.

Joel, where did you get yours from??

$100 for a brand new harness you "might" have to mod a little is a damn good deal to me

I got mine from a dude parting his turbo car out. Just keep an eye on the classified section, turbo cars get parted out quite a bit. In fact, I think I know where one's at right now...

There's a couple more on there too, just browse through the classifieds...
