just gut the whole assembly.. and then just plug up any vac lines that where attached to it
Yup. Mine comes off this weekend.
Ugly thing, with corroded brass and stiks out like a sore thumb. Doesn't work most of the time anyways on our cars.
hmm...I guess I got lucky with mine then. Worked great on my 88 before it got smashed and still works awsome on my 87.
On mine the only thing that ever stopped em working was split vacuum lines. Doesn't fit with the SR tho so it'll be all stripped out soon.
Lol you guys are tring to get rid of it. And I'm tring to fix it.:) After a drift wreck it stoped working.:( The tire hit the wires in the wheel well. I shure miss cruise control.

Yeah Indy, it's really that simple. Undo it and plug any vacuum lines you have to disconnect ... IIRC there's not too many at all.
On mine i just bypassed the whole black vacuum juntion thing with like 4 inputs on it cause that is just for the cruise stuff. I had trouble with just plugging them as one would always start leaking again so i just routed the vac lines so that it is no longer included.

It acts the same in an auto because of the lock up torque converter. I drove to California from Illinois this year and didn't have any issues like getting sea sick.
Hmm... maybe I should too.
