My Fuel Pressure Regulator has a leak...NOT at the hose either. its really weird. its at the point where it looks like the FPR is pinched 360 degrees...its hard to explain, and a camera would do some justice..anyhow...its like a million bucks to replace the v6 s12 FPR. where can i get one for under $50...?

hmm thats weird... someone on here has bound to have a extra rail or fpr laying around

I think us CA SOHC guys tend to have more spare parts than the SE guys.

Junkyard? Can you get a pic or find a better explanation of where the leak is located? The FPR sits at the front of the motor with both fuel lines running into it. It has one vacuum line on top and the fuel temp sensor is tapped into the side of it. Where exactly is this leak?

Can always use an aftermarket 300zx adjustable fpr. Do not know if that will work or not or if you can get one for under $50 though. As for the leak, it sounds like where the metal tube goes into the body of the fpr, the weld probably broke or something like that.

Sure its not the hoses that are leaking?

There are so many VG30e in junkyards that have 'bronzy' clean FPR because of the injector recall. Just look for a clean one and steal it. Bring a baggie and some paper towel. Maximas and 300zx are more common types than 200sxse or CA 4 klunkers.

I may have one laying around 10.00 bux

<---- kicks himself...

OK..i fixed my leak today..it was the lines behind the FPR..BUT, the reason for my thinking it was the regulator made sense after i saw what was going on...the line that goes TO the fuel rail had a hole, and it was spraying constantly onto the regulator, and was dripping from that area i had described. MAN those hoses are a HORRIBLE design, (and horrbily dry-rotted!) if you get a chance take a look at them..its just stupid! but hey, problem solved..and now i have less lag!

The FPR is mounted badly also. Getting to those 10mm bolts sucks. Many of those lines are so rotted that I can rip through them rather than take the clamps off. Many a VG30e car has had engine fires.
