Yeh like it says.....i try to heel and toe say into second and the car turns off! O_O
Car cuts out when trying to heel and toe

???? Ya got me!
how much gas was in the tank?
These cars are notorious for shutting off if you've got less than 1/4 tank going around a hard corner.
Other than that, check your battery tie down. If the battery can slide around, it'll do it too.
Try a little more toe and less heel!
sorry only joking!
lol maybe i should explain a little bit more....this would be on a full tank/half full.
It would be a combination of braking, acceleration and clutch to chance to second and then indicate.....it'll kill itself then fine.
If i do this too many times, then say i just normally brake and switch into second and indicator is going at the same time, then it will just stall...
man is your battery tied down well? when mine was loose, under hard de-celleration the battery would tilt foward and the computer would shut down, maybe your problem is similar.
i'd look for electrical faults, have fun :-P
sounds like alt is not putting out enough power?? if it drops to low when drawing a bit, indicators etc, the ecu can shut it down
::edit re read your post this would not be the prob::
ps just looked at your cardomain your cars nice
To get a proper heel/toe first try rev mathcing. When down shifting rev the engine a couple thousand rpms so its not rough when you down shift. Its better to under rev 200 rpms then over. Once you get that pattern down heel/toe is easier. Start with light breaking in a straight line with your toe (more like the ball of your foot) and hitting the gas with your heel. Which isn't easy in our s12.(the gas pedal sitts a little lower than moast japanese cars.) Remember you have three pedals and two feet. When you master the straight line then worry about corners.
The breaking drift is realy cool and is all h/t, but you have to do it at speed. Say 60-70 mph or it wont really work to well.:)
^^^ this helps hugh's car how exactly?? ^^^
his technique (or yours for that matter) isnt going to be the cause of the engine shut off..................maybe you could post your driving lessons in another thread.
lets stick to the problem at hand so we can help Hugh and get his car running again.
i think it might be that dodgey battery u been speakin about for a while, change to a new one and see what happens.
Good Luck
try rev mathcing.
gear matching, speed matching, DOUBLE-CLUTCHING, its all the same, and totally sweet when you get it right!!
