he's not talking about the racing widebody ones or hydaf's fisco widebody.

he's talkinga bout somebody who put fender flares on...I think I know wut he's talkinga bout. it was a two tone, silver and black car.. silver from the windows down and black from the windows up.

I THINK that was on the old forum..but I don't remember for sure.

I think they came from the factory on some German cars maybe FJ20E.

Oh crap I think I know the one you are talking about...and I saw it not that long ago too...If I recall correctly those were custom one offs, but with some fabricating skill, I am sure they could be re-created...

yeah I'd want one those. Custom fenders?

hengedate not saved · #17

well from what i can tell it was the Silvia S12 Grand Prix Edition,.. atleast thats what it said on the ad where it was for sale.. and i've seen some other ones in germany that were called that too and had those fender flares

Indecisivedate not saved · #18

reminds me of the E30 M3...

I love it..it's hot sex...

salps12date not saved · #19

NOW THAT looks SWEET! :o

Front wouldnt be too hard to get made up, the rear would prbably need some cut & hacking.

If only i had more $$$

Radracer_Sdate not saved · #20

I'd go to germany just 4 that.

Magnumdate not saved · #21

they look like one ton rear fenders that are cut down and molded in.

Yes they do look quite similar to that...

Nemisisdate not saved · #23

DAMN!!! If it came from the factory as a limited edition do you have any idea how much that would be worth?? To people who know what they are, its unbelievable. I would think that a proper analogy would be that The Grand Prix edition to us it like a original Yenko Camaro... I would love to have that Grand Prix Edition!

Mr.200date not saved · #24

Heh no.

This is a Grand Prix edition, which would be like the Monte Carlo SS.

Stickers and mouldings.

Nissan doesn't seem to even know these cars exist ... and I wonder if maybe it was a dealer-offered wide body kit.

Those flares (unless car pictured is a clone) were not done very well. And even the front flares look like someone used the rear flares off another car and just turned them around.

IF Nissan wanted to sell a GP version of the S12, they wouldn't have just tacked on flares and tried to make it work.

Nissan would also know that it's awfully hard to sell a car without inner wheel wells.

Also, Nissan in the 80s loved stickers. If they were to release a special edition (like the Fisco) you know for sure there'd be stickers on it everywhere.

There's tons of flare kits out there, universal or just adaptable.

Maybe by "Grand Prix" edition, they mean they're owner-converted "versions" of Nissan's GP Silvia.
