S15 Hlsd
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Apr 2005" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
Currently there isnt much info on this around the auzzie forums.
From what ive read you may need the S15 cv shafts. Also this will not fit into a non lsd diff.
I guy from one of the forums i visit is currently testing if this works in a S13 vlsd
Are you planning to swap the who diff, or just the internals??

I bet everyone out there interested in the S15 silvia helical lsd, has got a few questions to be answered. Well here goes, first of all I am tired of people trying to sell there helical diff knowing good and well that a US Nissan Dealer can not and will not order the output shafts. No other output shaft will fit, except for the S15 helical lsd output shafts. If someone tells you that S14 output shafts will fit he lied to you. I personally went to the trouble of trying to order the output shafts, and all I came up with was no, sorry, try ebay.
Well I went to the trouble, of going to a local nissan only parts yard. I spent the better part of a day pulling input shafts from every model of nissan that was rear wheel drive, and all I came up with is this. All nissan open diffs from 89 to 98 used 30mm X 29 spline shafts. VlSD won't work because the locking ring is in the wrong spot, and again a 30mm X 29 spline shaft. J30 is the same as Z32 and they wont work either, plus they have 5 bolt output shafts, unlike the silvia that has the three groups of two. The only thing that I can tell everyone, is to find a importer that can get the diff or just the outputs. By the way, the S15 lsd will bolt right into your S13 open differential, S14 open diff, and VLSD differential housings of the R200 family. Open or LSD it will go. I am currently working on trying to find a supplier for the s15 rear diffs, who is reasonable in price and shipping. Stay tuned for the conclusion, when Jake installs a helical S15 lsd into an S13 open diff...............
I know that 87 and up Rx7 Turbo halfshafts have the correct number of splines and are the correct diameter, but I'm not sure how much you would have to modify them to fit Nissan differental case.
I can get the whole S15 rear subframe along with itfor a bit more so if i can i'll do that. Ok sweet so it will work. I'll update you guys if and when i get it.
