I have read about a bunch of people doing the Z32 and Z31 brake conversions. I was just wondering what parts you need to do both of the swaps? are the brakes on the Z cars to big to fit in the stock 200sx rim?
Oh one last question(kinda unrelated) where do you guys get that HI flow carter fuel pump from?

Z32 Brake Conversion
This thread was saved without dates. "Around Apr 2005" is estimated from neighbouring threads.
I think there was a full writeup by gerrbg, is it on the old board?
Don't know where it is now but it was posted somewhere, but just as an adjunct to it. For the guys in the US and Canada, or other places where late 87, 88, 89 Z31 turbos are more common than here in Aust.(quite rare here). The hubs off these take a floating rotor, so they will take the Z32 rotors. These hubs will bolt straight on to an s12 strut,(but if you use the s12 struts you will need a caliper bracket, though not sure on the V6 s12's if they have bigger rotors like the Z31, then you wouldn't need the caliper bracket), or better still you get a whole Z31 strut with these hubs and the Z32 calipers and rotors bolt straight up to them. Hubs must be from a late 87 to 89 Z31 turbo, anything else is no good, (i.e. that means early Z31's hubs or any year Z31 non turbo hubs).
Or alternatively use the S13 coilovers. Get on to the search and pull up all the old discussion for it
And the Z32 4 piston caliper brakes would be to big to fit under a stock s12 rim.
Or alot of other rims for that matter, i've been looking out for some nice 16s or 17s to go over my S14 4 pots but no luck so far.
I did it... using '86 Z31 front suspenion shock tower... =)
So what you mean is you used 86 Z31 struts? What calipers and rotors are you using Z31 ?
300zx tt z32 front supension calipers and discs. anyone fitted them to the s12 with 17" alloys?
Yeah, I have Z32 Slotted Rotors, Axxis Metal Matrix Pads, Braided Lines, and Z32 Twin Turbo Calipers... all mounted on an '86 Z31 Suspension Shock Tower w/ 87+ Hub which accepts slip on rotors...
is that all with the same origianl s12 master cylinder etc? how much better does it perform?
The 15/16th gazelle master seems to push 4 pots just fine since it's only a tiny bit smaller than the original 4 pot master, i'm going to be running my S14 4 pots with the OEM master. FLY PSI is running a S14 1" master with his R33 4 pots and says it feels really good tho.
KaZ so the Z31 springs fit fine in the s12 strut tower ? Are they the same width as the s12 ones?
