When I started up my car one day I noticed that it is studdering like the RPM range will dip down below 700, around 500, and it feels like the car is about to die. I give it gas and it kicks in but when I take my foot off the gas it sometimes stablizes at 1K or around 900 or 800 where it should be. The spark plug wires I have are NGK and plugs I have the Platinum 2 from BOSCH, which was done like about 9 months ago. So does this sound like I need a tune up or is there something wrong with the distributer? Also this happened as I was driving as well one day I was driving and at a stop light the car felt like the engine was about to die. Does anyone know what this is??

Has the 02 sensor been replaced? Also you mentioned bosch platinum plugs. I'd stay away from any bosch plugs in these cars. They do not like them trust me I know from experience. Get yourself some NGK plugs you'll feel the difference.

Ditch the Bosch plugs.............they suck!! Go with NGK Iridiums or Platinums.

How about adjusting the air flow meter?
