Indicators don't

Here's an enigma wrapped in a riddle for all the sparkeys on club s12.

All the indicators flash when the hazzard swich is on but they refuse to work otherwise. I have had the Light switch block out and went to town with some emery paper so the lights all work now (by the way thanks for that thread, very cool) and I ran a multimeter over the indicator switch and it seems to be working properly as well. So where should the witchhu-uh I mean faultfinding begin? :lynch:

First off I would try to bribe the Gremlins...*lol* ;)

But seriously um I would check the connectors from the switch to the main ahrness. It is accessible if you take the shroud off the steering column. You could also check you fuse panel to to make sure it is all good. If you think the switch is good to a wire trace on it, find out which wire goes to what in that plug (I think it has about 8 wires) thing that connects the wires from the switch to the wires from the car. Once you find which control the turn signals then try jumping them to see if that makes the signals work.<-<- If you try this be very careful...sparks and the like are not cool. Also when you try anything that I have suggested make sure the key is in the on position otherwise the turn signals won't work; but the four ways will...

It's your hazard switch that is causing the problem. I have a somewhat faulty one as well, and if I get it in just the right position, my blinkers will work again.

The indicators all work properly now. It was the hazzard switch (hole in one Spooled).

The the switch block gnomes were appeased with an offering of emery paper and metho. (Oh look theres one now :beer: alkys all of em!)

Now I just have to trouble shoot the reversing lights (also no workies). With luck the metho and emery paper will do the job again! ;-)
