Hi guys.. I've got a set of 16" rims on my jap s12 with 205 55 16's on the fronts. Whts the maximum size you should be able to fit on 16's to clear the guards and struts. It seems to be scraping on somthing when i hit medium bumps and just wanted to know if my tyres are too wide or high.. Anyone give me any input?

Whats your offset?
I run 16x7s on the front with 205x55 R16s and it does scrape on occasion but it's cos i'm running 7 degrees of camber and wider track then stock and it's low, it's close to alot of stuff. Stick your head under the car you will see where it's been scraping from the shiney metal, worn plastic or marks on your rubber.

i run 225/60R16's on the front and yeah they rub alot but mostly its that plastic liner in the wheel wells and if you take that out it doesnt make much noise afterthat

You really ran 225x60 R16? That's huge on a S12, as far as i remember the normal OD on a S12 wheel/tyre is 630mm (24") , the 225x60 R16 would be around 675mm (26")....i would think that it would scrub somewhat...

Ok so as far as i knwo since i do work in a shop where we mostly deal with tires and i have tryed and am curently using a 235/55/15 tire int eh back now my front when i tryed to fit was 235/50/15 that was the bigest i could fit.

Hope it helps
