I got it back from the mechanic after getting new panel and such and now only 4s speed fan works?!?!?! as a high wizzzing sound too....anyone know what might have happened?

dunno but whatever it is i'd take it right back and say, FIX THIS

what new panel?
That's most likely the resistor box for the blower motor. The whizzing sound is probably normal

Do you mean the blower motor only spins at one speed now regardless of speed selection, or it only spins at High Speed on the High Speed Selection.

And to which Panel are you refering to?

OK lemmie be a bit more specific.

The aircon itself has pressure and works fine when i press AC.....its the fan that i'm having trouble with.

AC will kick in, it's the fan speeds that are the problem. The fan speeds are such:
1 - Lowest
2
3
4 - Highest

1,2 and 3 will not switch on at all. 4 is the only one and when u try to switch it to 3 or 2, you hear a fan go wvhop wvhop wvhop wvhop and then stop.

On the bottom of the fan blower assy, there is a resistor set that has burnt out. Usually less than $20 from the dealer and less than 5 min to install

yeah my gazelle's fan speed only works in 4..................1,2,3 are dead........where's this resister located as i wanna change whadeva is causing my lack of speed selection (for the fan, the gearbox sitting on the floor is another story).

Look under the Glove Box, You'll see the blower motor assy. Or at least feel it, if you have it on full speed. You'll see a 4,5, or 6 wire connector attached to it. That's the resistor assy, that it's plugged into. I'll try to post a pic.
