I'd banging my head on the wall for almost 2 years now :wall: trying to fix my S12. Well I'm fed up with it.... I have decided to swap out the engine with a remanufactured one. its about 350 bucks for a good one and it's cheaper than buying replacement parts like I have.

just thought I'd tell you guys.

$350 for a remanufactured CA motor? its $2000 for a CA20E from Jasper Engines... Who do you have hookin' you up?

I paid $2200 for my remanufactured CA18ET from Jasper Engines about 6 months ago. If you get one for $350, thats damn good. Just remember....you get what you pay for, and for that price it may not be any better than the one your replacing.

Its probably not a reman but one of those low mileage used motors. I got a similiar quote a few months back for a ca20. I think it was cheaper then 350, I think with tax it would have been just above 300 for it.
