Ok, here goes. I know that the Pathfinder (Fule Inj of course) upper intake manifold will fit the VG30E. I've been looking for one day and night for cheap (operative word there...) and have yet to find one. Yes ebay has them every so often, but for like $200 with the z kit. Well, today at work i had a 1999/2000 Mercury Villager Estate. took a peek under the hood, and wouldnt ya know it, its a 3.3L V6. wow, looks familiar. (they put the VG30/3E's in the mercury vans) WEll, heres a pic, it looks like the intake on it is from a pathfinder. is it the same?

Since when did Ford use Nissan engines? The only japanese that has even ben in a Ford chassis to my knowledge was Mazda, and Nissan has only collaborated with Honda on the Passport/Rodeo plaform (or so I have been told, maybe that isnt even true), notwithstanding the various electronics tradeoffs like switches and other simple dohickies.

Since the Nissan Quest and the Mercury Villager were the same vehicle.
The Honda Passport was an Isuzu Rodeo.

No Shizzle!?!? learn somethin new everyday...
Yes, that is the VG33, but that intake manifold won't work. If you notice, the throttle body is pointed towards the back of the motor. If you tried to use that manifold on your car, the throttle body would be pointed right at the firewall, probably even hitting it.
Yup thats true... it'll be facing up...
well, couldnt i turn the lower intake manifold 180*?
Couldn't turn the lower intake 180, but maybe the upper. You'd have to get it off and see. But from my experience, most of the time they make just enough difference to where it won't work...
Also, if you turn the upper intake manifold 180 degrees, the runners would hit the distributor. It was a good idea, but it just won't work.

Actually I think the TB would clear it Distributor as it would be facing the right side of the car. The only question would be can you flip it around? Seeing as the heads are right and left it's very possible that it can't be done because of the port configuration. I think that would be the determining factor.
Is that a plastic manifold???
J/K really though, the LS1 Chevy's have plastic manifolds and they work fine, but some of em have major problems (3.8 Olds V6).
OK, someone go to the junkyard and try it out!

I think that every manufacturer has at some point used another companies car to quickly fill a niche. In oz there is Toyota and Holden (GM) (lexan/commodore, nova/corolla, apollo/camry), Holden and Izuzu (rodeo, jackeroo/trooper), Holden and Nissan (astra/N12 pulsar), Ford and Nissan (patrol/maverick), Ford and Mazda (laser/323, tribute/escape, the ute/falcon ute) and so on. Also Holden and Nissan collaborated on a few engine projects (family motor) which ultimately went no where, Holden also used the Nissan RB30E and RB30ET in the VL Commodore.
jackeroo/trooper
You mean there's actually a car named a "jackeroo"???
if i can find one..ill try it. he said jackaroo...
Also another one up here is the Toyota Matrix, and Pontiac Vibe...
