What drop were they advertised as?

Aftermarket springs tend not to drop as far as advertised, probably due to the OEM springs being a bit saggy by now. You can chop them or get them reset if you want the car lower, i'd advise you to get them reset, it's fairly easy to stuff a spring up with heat etc when chopping away.

Damn thats unlucky mate!

Ring up king springs and ask them to reset the spring if you dont have anyone near you!!

Is your rear lowered too? Kings springs again?

I got rear kings and im really happy with mine!!

INDUSTRIAL SPRINGS in adelaide are makn my rears, and they are the same height as the KING fronts, i think 1.75inch lower.
So INDUSTRIAL Springs make srpings etc so they will be able to reset me fronts hopefully. I will get them to do my rears to while they at it,

WHAT YAZ REKON- 2.75inch low, SO LOWER THEM ANOTHER INCH??
do yaz rekon it will be expensive?

KING only do a frikin std Spring for da rear(catalouge),-hahaha, i remember that HUGE thread about AUS springs etc, and the bullcrap that companies tell ya...
Im pikn up my 238lb Rears from INDUSTRIAL SPRINGS soon.
Cheers guyz,

You can get king sprngs for the rear... just need to tell 'em what height and that its for a z31!

I got some King springs I had reset by 65mm at the local spring works place which cost me $77. I have R31 import front struts, so the springs were to high. After I had them lowered the strut inserts were to long and the springs were not captive by a good cm , so were (very) unsafe, (because R31 springs are a little wider than s12 ones so there is no margin for the springs to slip , as then they will hit the strut tower on full lock and would jam, ouch!).
I took the complete strut/spring/insert setup to a shock reco place, they cut a little more than a cm off the insert `pin` and then recut a thread on it and now its all good.
Just thought I`d relate this so you keep in mind when you reset them, if they are to low for your springs to be captive, you may need to use inserts for a Z31 or get yours shortened a bit like I did. I don`t belive in using wire locks to hold springs captive especially in the front as its f`n unsafe .

$77, bloody hell! thats expensive!

im payn 170 for my custom rears, plus frikin 70 ontop of that cause i will prolly need to reset my rears too!

Nissanman,

whats the serial number on the spring??

KDFL-15

Thats what i have and they are much shorter than the stock ones, they are about 2inch from being captive.

yea mine are KDFL-15 as well,
Can they be installed wrong or anythin?

Indecisivedate not saved · #11

yea actually

if they're not sitting on the rubber perches properly it'll throw the height off.
