It'll have a finned diff cover.

figure out what year it is. one easy way to do this is to check the plate inside the drivers door sill.

The finned cover doesn't necessarily mean you've got the LSD you want. The viscous and clutch diffs both have that cover, and maybe some open diffs too (?). I'd want physical confirmation of what type it is by seeing both wheels spin the same way when jacked up, or similar action. BTW I'm speaking of USDM models, other markets may have different variables to watch for.
My paranoia probably just comes from buying the wrong diff in the past :-\

well its on like a funny car rack thing LOL

about 10ft in the air... so i can spin the wheels iff i need to..

so just turn em and see if both turn the same way ?

Yup, If they spin opposite directions, then it's an open diff. You might to make sure that the driveshaft is locked tho, by putting it in gear or holding it by hand. Otherwise, it may prove difficult to spin the other wheel under certain conditions.
